Here are some of the ways that your information may be gathered by my site:
I may use Gravatar or Disqus or CommentLuv or Facebook or Twitter comments which may connect voluntarily to some aspects of your online persona. This will all be profiles you have voluntarily set up in the hopes of connecting online. It is completely up to you whether you choose to use them on this blog or not.
Typically, I will rely on the CommentLuv commenting system to handle the comments. You will need to put in your name, email address and website to leave comments. This will be information that you will choose to provide. You can feel free to leave false information there if you want to. However, if you leave real information, your comment may get a ComLuv backlink to a post on your blog.
I may have ads on this blog, and if I do, those ads will track whether you clicked on them. This will probably be done via cookies from the advertisers.
I may ask you questions, and if you choose to answer them, and your answers may be read by other users of my blog. I may refer to your comments in other blog posts I write if I find your comments particularly interesting.
Search engines will spider this blog and will record what you and I say here for others to discover via a search engine query.
I do use Google Analytics, Google and Bing Webmaster Tools, and Alexa verification to keep an eye on traffic on this blog and other blog issues. These tools will tell me a little about how visitors found my site and what they (visitors in general, not any one person specifically) did while on my site.
I do not feel that any of these things violate your privacy. If you feel they do, please do not make any comments on this blog. If you do comment on this blog, please be assured, I will not sell your information to any third parties. Period.
