Toto, We’re Not In Kansas Anymore

Day 1 of living in Hawaii in my new life.

Where I am staying is spectacular. During this next 18 months while my husband is in Iraq, I am staying in the upstairs portion of my folks house in Hawaii. The entire upstairs is setup like bed and breakfast and is gorgeous. My mother has such a gift for interior design and she has once again created another beautiful home that is warm, cozy, inviting, and peaceful. The room she has designed for my son is the kids/cousin room and it is fun and whimsical. The room she has designed for my daughter and myself feels like a spa. It is the nicest suite I have ever had.

The views from the windows are unbelievable. One window has a gorgeous mountain view. One view has a breathtaking ocean view. I have 7 windows in my suite and just can’t stop looking out at the beautiful landscape.

I have a lot to do to set up our new life in Hawaii and I really need to hit the ground running but I am too travel weary and too comfortable in my mother’s house to get going like I need to. Nephew #rTechnorati Tags: hawaii
